Buying a Home

There are four main things you need to think about before buying a home.

Location - Where do you want to live?

Size - How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?

Special Features - Do you need an office?

Lifestyle - Do you want to live near a shopping mall?

Hi, I am interested in buying a condominium/home in (City).

  • Are there any 4 bedroom homes for sale in the downtown area?

  • What is the square footage of the house?

  • How old is the house?

  • Are all of the appliances included?

  • Are the window coverings included?

  • How much are the property taxes for this house?

  • How many cars can park on the driveway?

  • When was the roof replaced?

  • Which area has the best schools?

  • Are the schools within walking distance?

  • Is the basement finished?

  • When did the house go on sale?

  • Can we make an appointment to see the house?

Apartment - the entire building is owned by management

Condominium - individual units are owned by different people

Townhouse - a house that is joined to other houses on both sides

Semi-detached - a house that is joined by one wall

Detached - a house that has no joining walls to other houses
